Today's the feast of Saint Erik Jedvardsson, King of Sweden 🇸🇪. He lead the First Swedish Crusade against Finland, who at the time were pagans and launching constant raids on his kingdom. He was martyred this day in 1160 after leaving Mass of the Ascension by rivals with a claim to his throne.
