On this day in 1945 (April 30th) Adolf Hitler commits suicide along with Eva Braun in the Führerbunker in Berlin. Their bodies were carried outside to the garden behind the Reich Chancellery, where they were placed in a bomb crater, doused with petrol, and set on fire.
