The Snapping Shrimp is capable of snapping it’s claw shut so rapidly, that it creates a bubble which collapses to produce a sonic blast, louder than a sonic boom. As it collapses, the bubble reaches temperatures of over 7,700 °C. The surface temperature of the sun is estimated to be 5,500 °C.
